In February Teign School had a very successful Enrichment Day which all students got involved in. The students were able to take part in many different activities to help enrich their learning experiences. For example Sixth Form students learnt about independent living, which included cooking skills, how to manage finances and self-defence techniques.
Year 11 students had a Work Preparation Day, with local employers running workshops and mock interview to help develop their skills ready for their working life. They also developed study skills to prepare them for their GSCE examinations this year.
As part of Enrichment Day Year 10 had a Day of Difference which explored how to deal with other people's differences. Meanwhile Year 9 had a day based around the topic of 'Talk the Talk,' which developed the students listening and speaking skills.
Students in Year 8 visited the National Marine Aquarium. Year 7 students had a Safer Internet Day, where they explored how to stay safe whilst using online platforms.
The day was a great success for all year groups!
